I think this is one of a few LOTDs which I did probably over a month back, and I forgotten to post it.. I have all the pictures in my folder, but I just never got to rambling about the products I used.
Let me try to recap what I used, and my thoughts on the products – I will try to just zoom in on the newer stuff I used and go from there.
The Becca Luminous Blushes – I have picked up two more since this post…right now, I own Tigerlily, Camelia, Blushed Copper and Snapdragon. Shown here are Blushed Copper and Snapdragon.
These blushes are now available at Sephora ION Ochard – I had gotten all my Becca from Beautylish when they first launched. But it is good to have easy access to them in SG now. I have also since picked up a few more BECCA goodies – which I will hope to feature on the blog soon.
These blushes are super pigmented – be light-handed, and just a light dusting will give you a good colour payoff, and the sheen is very discernible. If you are into your cheek products, you need at least one of these blushes. They are very soft, and very very nice – and they are so cute next to the larger highlighter powders from Becca.
And since we are on Becca – my fave highlighter (for everyday) is Moonstone. On more pow-wow days, I will layer PEARL over it for extra POP.
Blushed Copper is really pretty – it looks scary in the pan, but it has this bronzy rosy metallic look- unique, and wearable if you just use a little bit.
Overall, I must say Becca cheek products are right UP THERE among my faves with Hourglass Ambient stuff and NARS blushes.
Next, let’s discuss the TOM FORD CREAM COLOUR FOR EYES – I am on the waiting list and sort of forgotten about them until I was told they have finally restocked. I got the shades SPHINX and PLATINUM – The former is a duochrome pink/orange irisdescent shade, while Platinum is a soft taupey slightly bronzey shade. They are creamy and impart the most beautiful shimmer and shine.
I find them easy to use, either with fingers, or with a shader brush (just dab and blend the colour onto the lids).
In this picture, I am only using SPHINX on my eyelids – I just need a little bit of crease colour for some dimension and then everything else is SPHINX – love the multi dimensional shimmer of this shade.
These are quite long lasting too, and I will say they are worth the price tag – but you don’t have to run out and get a lot of them. They are good as bases and also eyeshadow toppers.
Next, the MUFE base products – I can’t remember if I have discussed them on the blog – but I think the the MUFE HD sticks are very easy to use, but better if you have normal to dry skin. If you have normal to oily skin, I think the MUFE HD liquid foundation is better.
I also used these Bobbi Brown lippies – they are very balmy and natural.. I think I have mentioned them in a previous post.
Also of note, in this LOTD, I did a longish winged out liner – I am into this look lately, to elongate and lift the shape of my eyes. It is not a full line across the lid, Two liquid liners which I have been reaching for lately – TOM FORD liquid liner, and KAT VON D liquid liner – both are great for doing this winged look, though I have to say the TF liner is blacker compared to the KVD one. And to finish this winged look, I just used outer corner lashes to further accentuate the look, and open up the eyes.
The overall effect is a very clean, glowy and slight sparkly look. I love it!
Let me know what you think… my next couple of entries will be NARS oriented, and also maybe some Sephora shopping chit chat… and also an overview of MAC collections. Hope I can keep up!
